I work in publishing, writing and podcasting. I have a first class degree in English Literature (BA) from Durham University, and another in Creative Writing (MA) from the University of Manchester.
I’m a part-time Reading Engagement Editor for Parthian Books, where I specialise in anthology management, digital marketing and online events. I also chip in with editorial and commissioning work, and am currently developing Parthian’s first podcast series, as well as their first independent audiobook list.
As a freelancer I have worked on various projects involving proof-reading, editing, manuscript feedback, interviewing and writing commissions.
In 2020 I was also Managing Editor of The Manchester Anthology, and producer of The Podcast for New Writing in Manchester – for which I received a Distinguished Achievement Award.
In April 2021, I was named one of The Printing Charity’s ‘Rising Stars’, and awarded funding to further develop my skills.
As a writer, I regularly produce essays, articles and audio pieces, and have been published and shortlisted in various places. To see a list of my recent creative publications, take a look at my portfolio.
I’m also in the process of finishing my first novel, When We Arrive, which has so far been requested by two agents for consideration.
